I have a Mitel SX-200 EL at the hotel where I work and we need to change the amount of rings before the Busy/No Answer Call Forwarding actually forwards. Right now it is 7 rings - is that adjustable?
(SX-200 LW17 K32.0.4 27-APR-2000)

Thanks!
Ross

COS option number 253 in COS for the room phones. 2-6 rings. (You here 7 because it rings 6 times in room and then 1 time at VM.)

It's actually an Admin phone at the Front Desk that is forwarding to a line appearance on the back office phones. Can I change that from the console or do I need a laptop connected via RS-232?

You can change it from the console, IF you know how to get into programming through the console. This is not a front desk/user program. Otherwise hyperterm or other comm program through maintenance port

Yep - I have access through the console. I got to option 253 and it is already set to 3 rings, but the phone on the receiving end rings 7 times ~25 seconds before it forwards. Another option, perhaps?

Are you looking at the right COS?

Go to form 9, and read the COS for the extension that you're talking about. Then go back to form 3, press the option for COS number, and put in that COS. Then jump to option 253 and see what it says.

When you exit, you may have to press <esc> 6 twice; once to save, once to exit.
