I had a power outage and now only one phone will ring. The Night Transfer function doesn't work, but it will light up. My phone system is a TIE EK-820-W. Does anyone know what I can do to fix?

you phone system is only a gizillon years old....

you will need to check the programming, and dont forget you will need to have a dss console in order to programm.........and remeber to press the little button under the faceplate in roder to program....and also remember the old 820's use binary programming......

unfortunately....about a year ago I took all my old tie manuals and burned em for kindle.......

Its such an old system its not worth the labor or time to bother with.........

For Night Ring Group

1.Set the SW1 switch (you will find it on the ECMU card)to the ON position. All calls are dropped.
2. Lift the DSS station handset
3. Press the DATA ENTRY button on the DSS
4. Press the NT key
5. Dial number of 1st station in group
6. Dial *
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for each station to be assigned in the group
8. When no more station are to be put in the group dial 0,0
9. Dial *
10. Dial #

For Common Audible (Day) Group


11. Repeat steps 4 thru 10 for the Common Audible Group (Program button 28 on DSS)

12. Press Data Entry key to end normal calling mode is resumed
