We've got a Nitsuko 124i with a PRI. We've got a dozen incoming phone numbers, and I'd like to set the outgoing ANI to be different based on the handset placing the call. Our provider tells us this simply isn't possible, but I have a hard time believing that. Anybody else run into a similar problem or know if this can be solved?

We've checked with the telephone company, and they've set our lines to pass on whatever comes out of the phone system, so the problem is definitely on our end.

0924 is ID for trunks and 1031 is for Extensions

Thanks for the info, but my software programming manual doesn't give any information about 1031 programming. 0924 appears to be more important for inbound routing than the information that goes out with outgoing calls.

I see that 1031 is the CLI Station Number, but I'm not sure how to get a number to go out as the Caller ID on a call. Right now all of the entries in 1031 are blank. I changed my port to use a different DID number to see if it would go out, and I'm still getting the same number. Any suggestions? I'd like to hire a tech to do this, but the only local company is telling me it cannot be done, which seems nuts.

Does anyone have a link to more detailed information on ANI/DNIS and what information actually travels over the wire when placing/receiving telephone calls?

1031 is the programming section for sure - make sure you put all 10 digits of the number in. You might have to call your carrier to set it up on their end if you can't get it to work. (Some PRI's are programmed to only send out one CLID number)

If the CLI STA NUMBER is blank, where does the 124i get a default, or does it send a blank? I'm trying to determine if it really is the phone company's programming or just mine (I tend to lean toward it being my problem since I'm such a novice). If the 124i is really sending a blank since there was nothing in table 1031, then I know it's the phone company, since caller ID is sent out, it's just the same for every single phone.

If there is no info in 1031 for a given port, the telco will send their default CLID information. Usually it would be the first number in the DID bank.

Looks like program 0406 sends station number as defined in the DID tables that you have to setup to use a PRI. 0=default 1=enabled. It's quite clear in the ISDN manual how to set this up in the flowchart. My guese is you will need 6.xx commonized and possibly the EXCRPU.

When I enter programming mode it shows version 6.00.08P. How do I tell if I have the EXCRPU? I have the software programming manual, but apparently not the ISDN manual. Where can I find a copy of this?

I'm still not getting this to work. If someone would be willing to walk me through this on the telephone, I'd be glad to pay for the assistance.
