On one of our phones the call 1 button will periodically come on and stay lit. When this happens we cannot answer calls from that phone when they come in. I am told it goes on and off at random and stays on sometimes for 45 minutes+. Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks

is it a display phone? If so what does the display say? Have you tried swapping with another phone? Testing at the BLock with X-connect pulled? It could possibally be in a startup mode. Various reasons could cause that, Short, analog port, bad connection.

Nothing is on the display when this happens. I was thinking it was a short or bad connection but wasnt sure if it could be stuck in a mode I wasnt familiar with. I unpluged the phone and pluged it back in from the wall while this was happening. When I plugged it back in the call 1 was lit for a minute then it went out..

You need to see if the problem is the phone or the jack. Switch the phone with another phone and see if the trouble follows the phone or occurs on the new phone in its place. I suspect a bad hookswitch or sticky buttons.
