I am working on setting up a few new extensions on our Nitsuko 824 system. I have been reading in the manual about outgoing line access and I am trying to restrict my new extensions to only being able to intercom on the inside of the system and not reach the trunk lines.

It seems to me from reading the manual that you set up different "line groups" and then assign each extension to these line groups that have the corresponding user restrictions.

I am confused how to set up these "line groups"

It talks about setting up CO an PBX line groups but I don't understand what those acronyms mean.

Can anybody help me proceed?

Be careful to consider the users 911 availability, or you could be liable if they can't reach emergency services.
CO = Central Office, and PBX = Private Branch Exchange. Any additional programming information you need should be discussed by private message, email, or in the installer forum and not in the open forum.

It would be easier for you to setup a toll restriction class for those extension that you do not want to be able to make outside calls. Just restrict all digits from 0-9 and allow 911.

toll restriction can be tricky

might be time to call the vendor who sold it to you

getting beyond ,end user programing

if you need a new vendor try the installer link at the top of this page
