Have a customer who doesn't hear very well so he's requesting an external signal to alert him when his digital phone rings (strobe). The only fix I could come up with is to install an analog extension and hook that into the strobe. Then call forward his digital extension to the analog (all calls) and give him a call cover or pick up key on the digital set. If the analog extension is in turn call forwarded no answer to vmail will the call go to his(digital set) mailbox since the call was directed initially there? Would rather go this route than give him an analog set with no features on it.

The voice mail will go to the analog extensions mailbox I believe. However, what you may be able to do is set up the analog mailbox with his greeting and forward all messages to his digital extension. Upon delivery of messages, the analog extension can be programmed to delete the message.

The thing that you need to do is to go into program 1027
type in the station port number
and choose option 1 (both ring call fwd)
then type in the port number of the analog port that the strobe is on
remember i dont mean the extension number but the station port number IE: 01 not 301
so doing this will make it go to his "REAL" voice mail.

Thanks,
Daniel

I'll give it a shot. The Vmail's a 2E so I may be limited on the # on mailboxes.

You will not need to make any changees to the voice mail system just the fixed call forwarding of the stations

Thanks,
