I was dispatched to a 384i (HOTEL)to move a phone to a new port, due to the existing being bad. I was able to retrieve and reprogram everything, except the names of the softkeys. The phone is a 24 button super display, didnt get the part number, sorry. Anyway, under program 1007, I was only able to enter 6 total characters. This count includes the space between letters, for example.. WAKE UP, but I could only get in WAKE U. I contacted 3 "Nitsuko techs" I used to work with at Convergent, and all of us couldnt resolve this. Class of service was the same of both ports also.

If memory serves me correctly, in programming, you can only see part of the name but if you continue entering in letters it "goes to a second page" in the display. You can have up to 8 characters

Bill, thank you for your response, you are correct, it does wrap to a different screen, and you can enter, for example "p" from the words Wake Up, but still, the p never appears. It still says Wake U.
