We have a Northern telecom phone system with M7310 phones that we can not change the phone extension on individual phones. The phones are programmed with the extension, not the phone wire. How can we change the extension within the phone?

You can turn on "auto relocate" in programming and move your sets to the desired locations or change the Dn/port association in programming.I would suggest you let your vendor do this.
