When setting up an information only mailbox (announcement only) Is there a particular class of service the mailbox should be set to, or can someone tell me how to make the mailbox strictly announcement only, so that callers cannot leave a message.
Also, is there a way to change the recording length of the greeting to a mailbox?

It seems that by changing the class of service from 1 to 7 allows me to record a longer greeting. I still need to know how to make the mailbox announcement only, and not allow callers to leave a message.

Information Mailbox use class of service 7 or 8.It will give you 10 minutes to record your message. Information Messages are also settup in CCR (custom call routing) in the auto atendant. Good Luck!!
