I had to reprogram the phone system over the weekend. And one thing I can not figure out how to do is this: We have a button called "VCMAIL." We would press this and then the display would show Night Service OK or Next. We would hit "ok" Then what should happen is that if an incoming line rings it would go straight to the automated attendant. Right now it doesn't. I can't figure out why it doesn't. Can someone help me?

If this button is night service it should be code FEAT.871 .Try to reprogram that button again just in case you lost the Feature by doing as follows from the operator ext dial FEAT 3 and press the button and Dial Feat 871.it should say night service.Then make sure that your VM ext is programmed under ringing services in group one and all the lines is assigned to answer and night service is set to manual.
It should work ,try it .

I did reprogram feature 871. The one thing I'm not sure about is if the ext is under ringing services. How can I check this?

If you have norstar Vm then dial Feat 985 it will show you the ext of your VM.Then go to ringing services and assign that Ext to ringing group 1 and make sure like I said earlier that you night SCh.is set to manual.If its not clear yet,tell me what exactely is your norstar system and I try to give you exact steps.
