Anyone ever set up mailbox without a physical extention as in a hunt group overflow mailbox (no real phone connected)
Nortel 5.0.06 software / NAM 4.04C
Guest MB does not work. Even MB that has port assigned to it does not work unless phone is attached.

If you have a port without a phone connected to it ,the system will consider that port Maintenance busy.and will not consider any forwarding if that what you mean.If you trying to create overflow in a hunt group ,you can overflow to one of the extension in the hunt group ,so the calls will go thru the group and when it will over flow it will go to one of the ext. within the group ,and if you have CF set up it will go the mail box of that ext.Just an idea.
