Question: Why does the BCM/Norstar affix the area code on caller id info to the end of the number. When the call comes in your are shown a 10 digit number area code first. However when you view the call log you see a seven digit number followed by the area code. Simply selecting an outgoing line should place a return call, but it dials the seven digit number followed by the area code which doesn't work for ten digit dialing. Why is this? Is there a fix?

CI info gives you the opportunity to add or "trim" numbers. if you add the area code it will dial out the number when you select the line. Guess they never changed it because some areas still use 7 digit dialing.
