Need some help. I had a data cartridge go bad in an 8 X 24 recently. I replaced the cartridge and reprogrammed the system. When I was there, I noticed the voice mail was not working right but I couldn't properly test it with all of the people in the office answering the phone. I just got a call saying that the voice mail is not answering the calls at all during the day but it will only answer when the recept. puts in on night service. I have it programmed to answer after 4 rings on all lines and the operator is on. The operator password also changed itself. I went into 982 and entered the password and it kept giving me an invalid password message. I reset that and it's now fine. I also noticed that the night service wouldn't pick up after the first ring (like it used to). It took 4 or 5 rings. Has anyone heard of this before? Please don't tell me I have to reprogram the Flash as well. This is my last resort. Do I have a corrupt Flash software now too?

Any help would be great

If everything else is Ok on the vm I would suspect you have missed some programming in the switch. Exactly how do you want the system to work? There are several ways you can set it up, you can use AA in the VM and tell it how many rings to wait before answer, or you could make the prime set of each line the VM port and turn on DRT to prime and set to 4. It just depends on how you want it to work. If you need some help shoot me an e-amil and I'd be glad to help any way I can.

Not to horn in on your problem, bartel, but I am having difficulty with Night service on an 8X24 and a startalk mini (I know, I know!). I tried programming NIGHT Service so that the attendant could get up to pee or send a fax or something, and the phones would act like it was after-hours. It doesn't work. Unless she does 982 and puts the oper. out, bus. closed, answer lines? Y, it won't work. "that button is useless!" I have to be missing something.
