Can anyone tell me why the message "need map file AOF01ENG" appears when I try to connect to a 6.1 mics using 10.0 Rem. Utl. Software. I can connect to other 6.1 swithes but have had this problem on three.

Are you sure you have the most current version? I have used it on many 6.1 and have not encountered this problem. Or perhaps that file is corrupt and you may need to reinstall or get another copy of NUR 10.0

Were all 3 of these systems purchased from the same distributor?

I'm assuming that you're using the OLP worksheets in Excel. Make sure that when you launch the worksheet that Macros are enabled and you should see a new menu within excel called "ICS". Select "Workbook Configuration" and check to make sure that "English" is the selected language, and that you're using the ICS Variant, USA, North America, etc. These items change the map file used. Once you modify some of the workbook attributes, you should be able to go to the "About ICS Workbook" menu option and see what the current map file is.

I apologize that I'm no expert on translating the different capabilities of the map files, but each system has a specific required map file. When I look at the workbook named "Naics6_1.xls" and select the model variant to "NA-MICS-DR 6.1", language to be english, system size to "ICS (non-expanded system)" & template to be "PBX" the utilized map file is AOE00eng.map.

I would think that as you try to modify the attributes of the workbook, you will eventually have your workbook map file match what the system is requesting.

Sorry I can't respond more specifically for you.

Our distributor e-mailed us the new map files for the new ksu's. Not sure why we had to seek them out, but all's well now.
