Customer want to upgrade from the original T1 software to 4.1 or maybe higher.Do I need an upgrade tool? Will I lose any programming? And what is involved in upgrading their existing Nam to work with this?

I don't think the software upgrade tool will work for anything prior to release 4.1. You will probably be looking at doing the software install and programming from scratch. Document everything first, then upgrade. It makes the reprogramming easier. The NAM will need to be upgraded as well. I'll wait for the experts to tell you what release you'll need.

you will need the upgrade tool. However, i would upgrade to 6.1, that way you can sell them the new 7316e and t24 in the future and have available the new features they offer.
