We have a couple different customers that complain some calls are too quiet. There doesn't seem to be any common factor among these systems or the quiet calls, but our clients are adamant that they can barely hear some callers. In one case the KSU was upgraded from an 8x24 to a MICS (I think) and the receptionist tells us that they now experience this problem but never had it before the upgrade. Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure these problem systems are all MICS or CICS. I've tried changing the setting on the lines to "Long CO", but that didn't seem to help. Has anyone else run across this issue?

I'm not sure about the software levels. I would guess that at least one of them is 6.0 or 6.1.

Make sure in programming it is not set to system voloume. Change to set volume and the volume will remain at the set level each time, if it is system volume it goes back down to a default setting, which in some cases is low, after each call is disconnected.

MINM: Thanks for the advice, but I am well aware of the "Use Set Volume"/"Use Sys Volume" feature under system programming. We always set our systems to "Use Set Volume". This option has been double checked on the systems in question.

Just an update:

I guess we've tried replacing the CLID cards at one site with newer versions, but the problem persists.

Thanks Dave, but I already tried the Long CO option on all lines. These calls aren't conference calls or forwarded calls either. They're just regular incoming calls.
