Trying to get an analog fax machine to use the ATA as an extension on the system.
A station set works in the jack...but the fax will not work trough the ATA to the tlephone system to get an outgoing line...any suggestions

Is the fax machine dialing "9" or whatever the line pool code is?
You could also try tapping into the ATA with your test set while it makes the call to see what tones are happening or at what point the call fails. A little eavesdropping can go a long way.

Set up Rte 001: Use Pool A, dial out none
Destination Code 8: Use Rte 001
Hotline on ATA Ext: External# 8 Use Rte Table
This will pick up a line on Pool A when the phone is taken off hook
