Just wanted to get your thoughts on this. A customer has BCM 2.0 and wants to upgrade to 3.6. Is there a problem with simply installing the hard drive, RAM and PEC III cards, doing an MSC etiquette core upload and reprogramming from scratch rather than doing 3 separate upgrades? Where does the switch keep its system id? Will previous keycodes carryover this way? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Nortel recommends doing the stepped upgrade, but it never works, your way I have found is the only sucessful way of upgrading a BCM good luck phnman

I agree...I haven't been happy with previous upgrades. Thanks for the response.
