A service provider that uses us regularly has asked me to find out the answer to the following:

A company is planning to run a call center out of Tijuana, Mexico ($1.50/hour labor, no beni's, ...bastard!) via a point to point T-1 from Tijuana to San Diego. The calls must originate and be received in the U.S.A. on another T-1 in San Diego, Ca and somehow be routed through to the call center in Mexico via the point to point.

Can anyone tell me how the 2 T-1's can be connected to achieve this??

Fortunately for me this is fact finding mission only, and I don't have to actually do this.

Any takers??

Microwave, laser, VoIP or let the LEC's or CLEC's place the circuits. Most of the switch/PBX makers have product to handle the call processing. Avayas Definity and Nortels Option series come to mind. Call centers are a telcom world all their own!!

would actually be a pretty easy setup for a variety of systems. heck if he really wants to be cheap he could get 2 legend systems and network together.

what type of info is needing to be passed along? CID ? why not just call forward a number to the Mexico switch? (Int'l toll charges?). will this be inbound , outbound, both type of call center? what type of computr integration is needed? Considered VOIP networking of two switches? How big of a call center? Basically, most switches will route via a Point to Point T-1 but the application will need to dictate how sophisticate you'll need to get. CTI?
