I have Caller ID working on a 616 with DR5 but can only get it to auto display on on set at a time. I have programed a CID button on the others sets, and this works fine.
I would like to have all set auto display the ID when the line rings, but have not be able to do so. Would someone know how to do this?

Thanks

Not sure about 616, but on a MICS only one phone per line will show the caller ID information automatically. The other phones will need to press feature 811 to see the info. On a CICS you can set it for all phones. Nortel is going to fix this disparity in the new MICS 6.0.1 software.

On the MICS, caller ID is programmed in LINES>Trunk/Line data> type is loop, and CLID set: xxx, where xxx is the set you want the caller ID to come up on for inbound calls. You can make the caller ID show up on more than one phone by using a hunt group - and assign all the phones you want the caller ID to show up on (or you can use feature 811 while the call rings).
You will NOT get automatic caller ID information on the second call to a phone. If the phone is in use the next call that comes in will NOT show the caller ID information without pressing F811 and the ringing line appearance.

Good Luck!!

If all else fails, use a BFH.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
I've been reading the manual some more, and think you are correct that other stations will need to use F811.

Darn it's hard to keep custormers happy sometimes.

You need a C6 module for call display on a DR5 6x16

A question if I may. I have inherited a Norstar Meridian 6x16 system and it does have a DR5 software cartridge in it.

I notice a mention of a C5 module for this PABX that allows the use of caller display. From where can I get the C6 module?

Thing is, I've been told that you can't get Caller display to work on this PABX. I've always believed this is untrue.

So, from what places can this module be obtained and does anyone have any good references to this C6 module that I can use to prove to anyone else without a shadow of a doubt that a C6 caller display module does actually exist and that it's not a figment of my imagination.
