My company has a 0 x 32 ICS with software level MICS 3.0 . Whena user is on a call, they can not receive another call, it just rings busy. I heard that it is the software we are running, but not sure if I believe that. Can you help me with this? Thanks.

This is a programming issue. Look under Capabilities on each set and you will see an option called Call Forward Busy. When you press show you will see either None or an extention (usually the Pilot Number of the Viocemail). This should be set to None in order to retrieve calls while on another call. You must also have 2 I/C keys on each phone as well. I hope this helps!

Thanks for the help. The next question I have. If the system is setup that way and still doesn't work, what is the problem? I just looked at a extension with the problem and it is setup correctly.

Ok, so, someone is on line 1 and another person cals the line 1 number, they are getting a busy signal? If that is the case, then your telco provider does not have the lines set up to hunt. That is a telco issue. The phone system does not handle hunting, the telco does.

Scottie,
This is too much of an open ended question.
Let’s start with the basics.
Are these did, t1 or pots lines?
If pots (plain old telephone lines) how many lines do you have? if they are did or t1 lines how many appearances are there on each set?
As for the voice call, it is an intercom path to one station. you press voice call or fet. 66 and dial an extension and that person will be able to talk to you with out picking up his/her phone.
