What would be the procedure to remove the ACD from a Mics, and going back to old school, free for all, answering the lines. (Auto parts place, who hates the ACD). As I havn't worked on ACD (Cymphany/Prelude) very much, any help or advise would be great.

I will even settle on the correct procedure to disable the ACD.

with an ACD, the calls are sent to a ACD DN that is a station port with no phone attached. if you are using autoattendant, you may have a CCR tree that instructs the callers to press 1 to talk to an agent. just disable the tree. If you are not using an autoattendant you'll need to know if you are using: a prelude or cinphony. If they have a NAM, you need to use the PC monitor attached to the NAM. It is a little complex but let us know what you think you have and I can try to help.

nothing to it. just go into the pc for the nam and turn off the acd. you can disconnect the monitor at that point as well. in your f983 menu go to tables, lines and rings and set to a higher level so calls won't be answered immediately by the vmail anymore.

i install a ton of these acd systems so glad to help you out if they ever want it to work properly.

I don't know what version it is. I just need to know, if I disconnect the Backup Dn set, and pull the keyboard and monitor out, will I be able to program a normal voicemail greeting and not have the ACD interfere...Mike

Just remove the lines from answering and this will stop the ACD from answering. The version of ACD will be on the screen with monitor connected unless the ACD is Minuet.
