This one drives me nuts! I have two systems that have voicemail: One is 0X32 and the other is a CICs both running 4 port flash version 2.0. What is happening is this: At each location I have 1 local where the message for you comes on the display and when the user checks the mailbox there are no messages there. Only upon connecting a 7310 with 2 line display do we then have the option of accessing the message. It is not one in the voicemail rather one that was sent from another local and the message which is text only says message from XXX (the local) Of course when I check with the calling local, they have no idea what I am referring to.... any idea on how to resolve this??
Thanks
Terry

Feature 65 to view messages. Press HOLD to delete them. * and # to scroll thru on a T/M7208.

I have had this happen to. Turns out that an employee was using F 65 to call another local instead of F 66, voice call. Once the employee was trained on the phone, that problem went away.

Not very many people use that feature. In most cases when I have seen it used is when someone is playing around with it and sending messages. Once it is sent nobody has any idea how to clear it. Show them how to clear it and tell them next time it will be a service call. And that will usually put an end to it.
