norstar 8*24 w/ DS DR5.1-
the receptionist called 911 for a break-in, when she dialed the phone displayed 928-911 which added the area code and she got a busy signal. i checked the system and the phone programming and the "Automatically Dial Area Code" is turned OFF on all lines.
I dont see where the setting could be anywhere else, the phone company said it is dialing it and there is no problem on their end. it doesnt add 928 for any local calls.
i just wanted to get some input before reseting the system.

turns out, (out have no clue how they programmed this thing but...) when someone dials 911 it puts in 928 because it isnt a 7-digit number. when 928-911 is called it is forwarded to a transmitter and it remotely sends a signal to the fire system that sends a code to a 911 dispatcher (would explain why the police ended up showing) the only way to get rid of the 928-911 is to speeddial it in the internal memory...
