The new digital mobility solution does require 7.0.
It looks like roldan's posts aren't getting any attention. But, the questions he is asking are CRITICAL.
If you try to take this system straight to 7.0, and the current software is anything older than 6.1, YOU WILL LOSE PROGRAMMING!!!
The proper upgrade procedure, for older software, involves an upgrade to 6.1 FIRST (but only if you want to save your data).
Good Luck!

Just curious, I've upgraded before and never lost programming, so is this some new procedure from Nortel from now on and do they put this info in the s/w box or is this just some bug in 7.0 they have not fixed yet?
Thanks, Bunnie

Bunnie, It depends on what software level you are at currently and what software level you are upgrading to that will determine if you lose any programming. If you are going from like a 4.1 for example, to 7.0 you will lose programming if you don't use the proper procedures. This was mentioned by BCM Guy in another post. The key is to know the levels you're upgrading from and to and if it requires the upgrade tool to retain the programming and even then sometimes it's just easier to reprogram from scratch.
