I have a customer with CICS ver 2.0 software. They claim that without any power problems the phones will drop calls and start flashing the triangle lamps. Is there any known bugs with this software?? Does anyone know what to check for on this problem? Repairable? Replace the System.???? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't know of any software glitches that would cause a system reset like that. I have seen APC UPS's cause that exact problem due to a 4 milisecond transfer time. (I'm not saying that all APC's do this btw.)
Do they have a UPS or battery back up system, if so what type?

They don't have ANY kind of UPS for the system. I told them they should get one. I think it may be a power issue or because of power issues it may have damaged the CICS. They had someone else in earlier and they told them it was because their software was old and they had to upgrade the software for $1600. Sure !!!

I have seen this happen on many systems when the amp head isn't plugged in all the way. Just a thought

I agree. It's definately something to check out. There should be a T shaped holder for the amp connectors to hold them in place, make sure it's seated all the way and the screw is tight.
If the amp connectors are ok, try the UPS. Just make sure it's one without a transfer time or the problem will remain. I've had pretty good luck with Belkin and Alpha Technologies.

Also double check the C-13 power cord is plugged in all the way, as it hangs from the bottom on this unit.

Always just snugged the t-holder. If tight, the connectors backed out. The power cord is a good check but remember the fuse holder!
