Well, set the phones to Prime Line of PRI-A, not Pool A. That is the short answer.
If they want a PRI dialtone, the LEC can turn that on.

Good Luck,
Wayne

Under "prime line" heading, the only choices available are "I/C", "PoolA" or "None". When you set to "PoolA", and press the intercom button, the display reads "no free lines"...

Danny: With the newer software and with a PRI, you must use routing. Make sure you don't have anything programmed under EXTERNAL ACCESS and nothing under POOL CODES. Make sure that you have the Lines for the PRI as PRI-A. Set up the prime line for the phones as I/C. Unless you need something fancy, make your routing simple. Enter a 9 for the routing code. Then make it use PRI-A. When they pick up the phone they get a dial tone from the intercom. They dial 9+number. Sorry, when you go with a PRI they just have to dial a 9. Tell them to get with the program.

OK, I have the solution to them not wanting to dial 9. Change your codes and make outside line access on the PRI be a 1 instead.

They won't have to dial 9 and if they give you any harrassment about dialing a 1, threaten to change it back to 9 that they bitched about so much.

If worse comes to worse, I'll fly there with my stun gun and when I'm done they will never complain about dialing 9 again.

There, that fixes everything.
