Can any one tell me if you can program a button on a m7324 phone that will call forward the incoming lines to a night service.

Thanks
John Keiper

By night service I am assuming you mean forwarding to an answering service. You must have call forwarding on the line you wish to forward (a telco feature). If forwarding a group of lines you need only forward the main line in the group.

You can program a button to do an external dial:

Feature *1 press the key you want to use and then enter the digits to dial press "OK" when finished. If you need to add a pause in the dialing string its feature 78.

Then to use your forwarding button seize the line and press the speed dial key.

You could also use line redirection to forward a line to an answering service. Just make sure the set in control has line redirection set to yes in set programming. Line redirection uses 1 line to forward another line to an external number.

Just ran into the same thing today where the customer has in speed dial a number then extension. How do I know how many F78 to use since all AA messages could be different lengths?

Thanks in advance

F78 is a one and half sec pause. I'm afraid beth its trial and error. In most cases you don't have to wait for the entire AA message to play before inputing an extension number. So you need only wait until the AA answers that will usually be within 2 rings (3 to 4 seconds). Keep in mind speed numbers are limited to 16 characters. A pause is one character.
