Hi,
We have a BCM 200, with a GATM4 module. For some reason, the BCM takes upto 3 minutes to detect that a caller has hung up the call - which consequently ties up the line for much longer than it needs to.
The unit is located in Australia, but I think the problem might lie in how the BCM is detecting the incoming lines, which are supplied by another PaBX (which I beleive is Nortel - thats what the Australian Defence Force use).
I have the Disconnect Timer value set to 460ms (The default value the installer left it at). I have tried it at all other settings, but to no avail.
Does anyone know what value this should be? I would assume that even tho its behind another pabx, the disconnects should still work the same.

Hi maddieboi, I don't know that much about BCM but if you could make sure that disconnect supervision is set to yes on the BCM and whatever PaBX is in front of it as well as insuring that your service provider has thier lines set for disconnect supervision that's the place to start. Thanks, John

Your correct in that the BCM is looking for a DS signal. Unfortunately if you are connecting an FXO port on the BCM to an FXS port of PBX it, the PBX probably can't provide you with one.
