I installed a 8X24 DR5.1 DS key system a couple of months back and now they want to use the Line Redirection feature. When I programmed it to work, I got a display that said 'unequipped line'. Looking at the installers manual it says I need KSU better than a version 2. I dont see any indication on the cabinet what version it is. I dont suppose this info is on the back of the cabinet that is screwed to the wall? Any ideas?

I believe a DS cabinet is a DS cabinet. I'm not aware of different versions of cabinet (I could be wrong about this but if so I'm sure someone will correct me). Make sure that the cabinet your using is DS and not just the software. This will appear on (luckily) the front of the 8X24 so you won't have to take it off the wall. It should be on the top right hand corner and will read quite literally as 8X24 DS. Hope this helps and keep us posted.
Beer, sure I'll try one

Are your lines programmed for supervision?

The cabinet is a DS. I did change the trunks to supervision.

3 things for redirect.
- supervision - on - allow redirect on DN - line must appear and ring on the DN

Also make sure that the carrier has Supervision turned on for those lines.

Telemarv you can remove the line appearance after you set up redirect. Need to make sure you keep good notes but it will stay directed until you change it.

I have all items that Telemarv suggested but still get the 'unequipped line' display. Do I need to re-boot after I changed the options? Thanks for all your help.

If you have the 3 items setup that were posted by telemarv and everything else that has been posted, you should be good to go. Maybe the procedure that you're using to redirect the lines is incorrect.

Are you 100% positive that Telco is providing you the signal? Just because you have it turned on does not mean that you have it.
