I have a Norstar Compact ICS 3x8, with a CP100 voice mail system. I am trying to get our Moh working, but I am having issues.
I have a Radio Shack AM/FM radio connected with 1/4" plug, to 1-pair Cat3, to the orange/yellow pair on the station port side of the switch. Also under Feature settings, I have the On Hold option set to Music. What am I missing here? I thought I had everything right.

Len if you don't have designation strips for the nortel system i'd be glad to send you one of each systems like the 3x8 to mics it will show you where moh and speaker and aux ringers are located a quick trick to find moh is turn the background music on a set the with your tone generator try all the pairs until you hear your toner

No, I don't have designation strips, so that would be greatly appreciated.
I will try the Violet/Slate, but the toner suggestion sounds interesting. Let me make sure I have this correctly - I turn on background music - do I have to do anything else with the handset? I have never used that feature before.
Then I just put my toner on each pin on the station side of the switch till the warble plays through the handset?
