I would agree, this is not an Engenius but more like a nice cordless phone. I have used these in homes up to a 100 ft. very well then less and less signal after that.

If you wanted to hear a faint call with static at 300 feet in a straight line, then that could be called maybe possible.

I would not want to promise them very good quality over a hundred feed, acceptable quality at 150, and less with stuff in the way as in stone walls, metal framed walls, etc.

Sold one recently that won't transmit/receive outside of the room the base station is in. Very large custom home. Be aware if you sell one in new construction make sure that the builder did not use radiant barrier siding. Used for energy conservation it is basically board material with foil covering one side. Kills cordless phones dead. frown

Spectralink works very well if its engineered
correctly . I have spent , laugh if you will , many hours on large sites walking around saying can you hear me now ? Just to make sure we don't need to add additional wireless "antennas" . wink

The Engenius units are pretty damn good but you will be using it with an ATA. We sold 14 of them to a hospital and the base was put in an outbuilding.

The phones work fine on all eight floors of the main hospital. They are not cheap and they are not as light as a cell phone or a regular cordless phone, but they have range.

I have a loaner unit I could send you. If you like it sign up as a dealer, they are much cheaper that way and you have a warrantee from them.

We have used Engenius also. In a very large supermarket chain I was impressed with coverage in the building and out to the parking lot. Like Bunnie says you are using an IST port so basically you can take a call and make a call.
