You must set "link at CO" to yes in lines programming.

Have you checked to see that it is not restricted from using LINK?

In Terminals and Sets go to Capabilities, then go to Restrictions, then to Allow Link.

If that is set to No, you can guess what to do.

Check also the link timer in system programing. should be 500-600ms.

OY VEY. You have probably reset it, reprogrammed it and it still does not work.

Sometimes we read posts and go for the big shot instead of the clues.

And, I am not positive of this, but in your settings under stations go to prime line. You probably have it set to your extension number.

Here is where it gets fuzzy because I am by no means a Nortel instructor. I doubt that you can put in the feature code for link, possibly leaving it blank but I doubt it.

Try putting just one intercom button on the phone and see if pressing the link button now makes it work. This is detective work from afar and it does not make us look expecially smart.

Please, just to double check for me pretty please with sugar, that "Allow link" in Set restrns is set to yes, and that Link is set to 600 and Host is set to 1000.

Under Trunk/line data see if Link at CO applies restrictions if you have toll restriction on your set.

If none of that is it, go home and stay in bed for the rest of the day, nothing is going to get better.

I've found out that prime line is pool A. the 9 they were dialing was for centex. so actually he link button worked. I just need to know what to press to get call waiting on verizons centrex system. When i hook flash even with my butt set its waiting for some sort of code thus the secoond dial tone.

Have you talked to Verizon and asked them what they expect?

Can you get a call into the test board and ask them to monitor the line? Put one line into pool B, make it a dial 8 and then you will only select the line they are monitoring. Do you stuff and ask what they see or expect.

If you went to prime line and it was pool A and it gave you a line and you dialed 9 to go past in building centrex THEN as they watched the line you did a flash, they could tell you what is going on.

Maybe the flash has to be longer or shorter, or maybe it is working just right if it gives you a new CENTREX line. Are you sure they have call waiting on that line?

This certainly looks like you can ONLY solve this by being on line with the test board to see what they are seeing.

Of course I am old and fat and don't know much, but that is the FIRST thing I would do with as much time as you have put into this so far.
