I have a customer who has a MICS cabinet that is not functioning. I have a system backup via fastrad. They are using PRI and I have the keycodes. When I move the software cartridge to the new cabinet the pri options are there but we cannot call in or out over the pri. Am I correct in assuming that this is a keycode issue? The place that my customer bought the system from is out of business and they have no options for getting a new keycode. One of our techs claims that there is a way to change the system ID of the new system to match that of the old, but it was a senior tech at his last company. Is this possible? If so please let me know. If you do not want to post this info please call me at seven one eight 499-7800 or email me at john(at)acsnyc(dot)com. Thanks John Armstrong https://www.acsnyc.com

If you have a fast rad back up it will have the old sys id in it. Load your back up.

If this is all you do telemarv, what would prevent a person from getting one set of PRI codes and loading it on system after system?
Seems like something is amiss here, but I am not going to make a claim to that effect.

Doesn't Nortel know that replacements may happen? I would think that you could get a new keycode for a replacement unit by saying here is the old ID and here is the New ID. YES? NO?

Sorry I should have elaborated...
You will need a new keycode for the PRI to function on the replacement KSU.
You will have to contact the Nortel keycode recovery service (KRS). You will need to be a Nortel authorized partner or have a partner contact them on your behalf.
