My customer has an aging DR5 8X24 Meridian. Their Startalk stopped working over the holidays. I happened to have a 2-port Flash on hand, so I swapped it in, but had to do a reinstall to change the DN length.
Upon initialization, it prompted me for a kecode, which I did not have. Now, I can assign mailboxes, but am not able to access the AA or the CCR parts of the Flash. Is that because I need to buy my customer a keycode?
Thanks for your help!

I recall having a problem like this. I had to take the Software number of the flash card and get it checked. I think there is a version of Flash that is call light and has no mail boxs, It is just an auto attendent basicly.

I think kbarry is on the right track. It may be a Flash Lite (not flashlight wink ). But, to clarify, the Lite does supports mailboxes, but no AA or CCR.

As for a keycode, back in the day, you could purchase an upgrade for the Lite to make it a fully functional Flash.

I had a flash the other day and it had been sitting in storage for a few years and I had to reinitialize it. When I went into programing the mailboxes were ok but when I pushed AA or CCR it came back with not available on the screen. I dont know if they ever did work.

Thanks for the help, gentlemen. I had forgotten aoubt the Lite version. Too far back in the foggy past. I'm using it as a glorified Answering Machine while their old Startalk is being repaired until they can afford to upgrade their whole system.
