We have a BCM 400 3.6 that we are trying to upgrade to 4.0. I ran the precheck but it kept timing out on me. I also ran the upgrade but the Health Check kept timing out. Nortel has since came out with the new precheck tool that works great. However, last night I went back out and the new precheck tool ran fine and everything passed. The upgrade timed out with an error that said something like, "The BCM timed out waiting for response". I was told by a Nortel engineer that they were coming out with the new upgrade software that would have the new precheck tool in it to increase the timer. At this point we have escalated it to Level 2. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks whoami but I would still be there today. I apologize for not updating this thread but Nortel design is aware of this issue and is working on a new upgrade version for 3.6/3.7 to 4.0.
