Is there a way for another phone system to draw dial tone from the MICS to dial out AND also to dial Norstar extensions on the Norstar without using Remote Access Packages?

How far apart are the systems? You could use a standard ATA to send intercom dial tone from the MICS to a trunk port of another system close by. The could call internally or dial 9' and get an outside line from the MICS.

Depending on how far the 'other' system is from the MICS will play a big role in how you will be able to achieve this.

I forgot to put this little tid bit in there. I would like to do it over a T1/PRI card.

The ATA/ASM is a good idea, but they don't want to purchase additional equipment if it isn't really needed.

ATA's are cheap. Set up an access code, such as 7, to access the trunk with the ATA. You can instantly call anyone else on that phone system or use there access code to dial out of the system.

As for Length Rich, I have some ATA's working in the rural area from a customers site to his house that is around 5Miles from his office, without any Loop extenders. Just had the telco provide loops from there Dmarc to his house. Customer pays for the cable milage, but not for a phone line.

Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol
