Hey, maybe you guys can answer a question for me.
BCM50 2.0
Need the receptionist to transfer calls when their boss is on the road. Typically calls that are calling into the office. I have the redirect on. The F84 will not work because it transfers everything on that line. Can I create destination codes and use the Feature 4 for transferring inbound calls to an external number? If so how?

Now, can I ask you how do you setup routing on the BCM50? Man that was a quick reply. Hard to type with a 18 month old in your lap hitting the keyboard.

Pick a number that has no usage....no ext begins with it, no line pool access, etc.. Then program that into the destination code. If that is the ONLY phone she would transfer to, you can get creative and let her hit just one key. Example: Destination Code of 6 or 66. Make it so that if someone dials a 6 or 66, the system will strip off the 6(s), add digits (that match the cell phone) and use the line pool. Then she can transfer to "6" or "66" and it is sent to the cell phone. But if there are more than one cell phones to transfer to, just use destination code of "6" or what ever is available.

Thanks, I tried that. Here is what I did.
Program Dest. Code to "333." Made incoming call on one line. Press 333, nothing happened. I know this is simple but a little confused. The allowed redirect is enable on the line. Stuck.

No I do nit forget. I did not do that. I will try again. And not Mr. Nickels, 333 did not work. I am going to read the manual again. There is something I am doing wrong. Thanks fellas, really do appreciate your assistance.

Once you set up your dest code and routing, you test it by hitting the INTERCOM and dialing the 333 (or dest code you set up). It does not work if you pick up a trunk line. When you hit transfer, you are getting an INTERCOM dial tone. So to test, hit intercom and Dest Code.
