Morning fellas. I have a little issue. System
Norstar-PLUS Modular ICS 6.1 StarTalk Flash 2.0.10
I've set the Call FWD (DN 230) no answer and it works fine. For some reason under capabilities I cannot get the Call FWD Busy to work. Does anyone know why it would not work? I've set all the parameters and no matter what I do cannot get it to work. I have the Call FWD no answer and Call FWD Busy set to the destination VM DN 230. What are the parameters to set the Call FWD Busy?

What is it doing when busy?
I believe there is no need to setup CFB if this extension has a MB assigned to it.

Hi MooreTel and PTS Technician. It's a private line. When you ring it and know is on the phone after three (3) rings it goes to voice mail (Call FWD No Answer). That work fine. I have the Call FWD Busy set in Capabilities and when you dial it and someone is on the line that line rings busy.

Is there a reason its a private line? Try removing the private line and make the line in another line pool (i.e. O). I rarely use private line.

I would assume your problem is because it is private as well. If you don't want to place it in a pool, why not make it public and try that?

I'm assuming you are on the private line when you trying to receive a 2nd call and it is a POTS line. Of course it will ring busy. This comes from your telco. Your MICS has no control because the call does not reach your office unless it has another telephone line to hunt to from your provider.

Hi MooreTel, No I have it setup as a Public line. It's not in a line pool either.
Telemarv, No it't not a private line it a public line setting. Now, scenario. We have the same system in our office. We setup the Call FWD no answer (3 rings) to go to VM mail and it works fine. We also setup the Call FWD Busy at our office to go to VM and it works fine. The client is setup the same way and the Call FWD Busy does not answer (rings busy). So why does it work at the office and not at the client? The client has a Norstar-PLUS 6.1 and we have in our office a Norstar-PLUS 6.0. Cannot understand that.

Now that I think of it, Telemarv may have hit it on the head.
It doesn't matter what the setting is on your system if this line is not in a cascade from the telco. It will be busy like marv says.
At the other location, if the lines cascade it's cascading to the next line in the cascade.

How many intercom keys are programed on the station in question?
