BCM400 Rel 4.0 Hunting Help! Element Manager

Need some help got a strange request from a client!

Scenario: As is when you call in an Auto Attendant picks up then you can get transfered to the recpt.

Now heres the strange one that ive have been trying to figure out all morning!

** They would like to remove the auto attendant!
1. all calls come directly to the recpt.
2. after 4 rings, hunt to another extension
3. then after hunting the other ext. 2 or 3rings
4. would like to hunt to the auto attendant!

Help me out there boys & girls not sure if this is possible?

If so let me know, thank you in advance for your attention!

Forgot to add the would like the second ext. to act as a regular ext. as well!

welcome You can set this up quite easily with a sequential hunt group.

set AA to answer after 5 rings ...leaeve lines on recpt...have lines primed and drt to second ext after 3 ..set drt to yes...will ring 5 times at recept 2 rings at 2nd ext then go to aa...set vm on recpt for 6 rings or none...use you imagination.... system does anything you want

Thank you all for your help! This what I came up after trial & error.

1. Change call pilot (Auto Attendant) Pickup After 5 Rings (All Corresponding Target lines)
2. Create 1 Hunt Group for the Receptionist: Don’t forget to rename Hunt Group
3. Set Hunt Mode : Rotary
4. Set hunt 1 - (If Busy) = Queue
5. Hunt 1 – Queue Time Out = 15 sec’s = 3.5 rings
6. Add Hunt Group Member: Receptionist 221
7. Select Appear&Ring
8. Add All Line Assignments
9. Create Hunt Group 2 for the rollover ext.: Don’t forget to rename Hunt Group
10. Set hunt 2 - (If Busy) = Queue
11. Hunt 2 – Queue Time Out = 15 sec’s = 3.5 rings
12. Add Hunt Group Member: Cover Receptionist 279
13. Select Appear&Ring
14. Do Not Add Line Assignments


Be sure to add all Line assignments (Target Lines) in Hunt Group 1
