Help! I recently took over management of our telephone system, I have all of the manuals, but not documentation of phone trees etc. so I'm doing OK except for a problem I can't resolve, probably just some small thing I'm missing. I've created a new mail box, it matches the phone extension number, it's initialized, I can send voicemail messages directly to the mailbox, but I can't get messages to go to the mailbox after 4 rings, it just keeps ringing. Waht am I doing wrong?

welcome
You must set CFNA in the phone system for this DN to the voice mail. This is not in the Norstar voice mail programming. It requires admin level programming of the Norstar ssytem.

Your not done with the programming! You need to access your telephone system programming and set call forward no answer for the extension in question.

Thanks,
I found the CFNA section, got through to where I enter where I want the calls forwarded to: If this should be the mailbox, I couldn't enter the mailbox number, ours are three digit and it would only take 2 digits. Is this actually a code for voice mail instead of a mailbox?

Thanks for all of your help, I'll try not to be a pest.

You need to enter the voice mail system DN.
