Hello everyone
I am running a CICS 6.0 and CP100 v 2.0, I am considering to switch to bcm 50, I am waying if I should do that or not, I now the VOIP is feature in the BCM 50, one thing that I have not being able to do with my cics is follow me rules on my set ( where I transfer my ext to my cell phone ) not all the company lines. is it easier with the bcm ? another thing is a plus with the bcm is the management using the computer.
I would love tot hear from you on what you think the big plus on moving to bcm 50

The BCM50 behaves the same way as CICS when forwarding an ext. to an outside line (cell phone). Any line assigned to an ext is also forwarded. This type of forwarding is better suited for DID lines.

You can call forward your phone to cell using F4 and routing. This will forward only the calls sent to your phone not the lines assigned. Keep in mind outside calls forwarded requires 2 phone lines.

thanks for the answer Marv, I am using local link lines with three way calling, which worked fine for call pilot call transfer, but when I tested the routing it forwarded all the lines to my cell phone ( lines appear and ring on my set).
how would I setup the routing so it only transfer calls not lines ?

since my post however I sold my cics and I am using 3x8 dr5 I am not sure if this will also work with 3x8 dr 5?

With all due respect you are coming here to gain basic installer information. You are clearly not an installer but a trunk slammer based on this post

Good Luck.
