I have a problem where one ext calls another ext on the intercom when no one is near the phone. I have been onsite and have seen this happen. The button's are not stuck and the phones work as normal when used by a person. Any help would be appreciated

Never have seen that happen before. Try a reboot after hours of the MICS and the CP and see if that gets the bug out.

I think this is where you do [Feature] 666 and sprinkle holy water on the phone. If it screeches and smoke comes out, you should smash it to pieces with a heavy metal crucifix and pour garlic all over it for good measure.

before resorting to Bunny's suggestion I would look at closely at the cabling .
(although Bunny's would be more fun , the customer might not understand )

I seen this a once back on a 6.0. 16 hours of lost time, major headaches, loss of hair. Reboot did not fix anything, problem would just come back after a couple of days. NVRAM card is new? I reported the trouble to ITAS and Nortel had me do a startup and reprogram everything with a new NVRAM card. My issue also was M series sets. What RLS is the set doing this? Have you tried a T series set on that trouble location? As for the cabling, I think going way back I seen this one, another time, but the set causing the issue would start flashing at radom times and it turned out the set was jumpered into 2 different tie cables, which we extermely long.
Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol

Nickels, yes it has a new MVRAM card. I am not sure what issue the M Series sets are but I replaced a 8X24 cabinet at this location so they are probably very old. as far as the cabling goes i know that this phone is on its own cable and not jumpered anywhere else.

There are known compatibilty issues with M series sets pre release 17/ MICS 6.x and above. Chances are, if this unit replaced a mod, you have very old sets.
