You mean to say that the BMC-50 main unit has 12 digital Station ports. But you can add 1 or 2 Modules that would give you 32 more digital stations each. But if you added the 2nd digital station module you are limited to only 4 trunks.....not good. So you need to think of a BCM-50 as max of 44 stations. Then you can add trunks (POTS or PRI) in the expansion.
Of course you can add many more IP phones.
But you also have the BCM-400 that you can add more digital stations and trunk modules.
So if you are planning to go VoIP you should start with the BCM. Then, depending on your trunks and Digital Station needs, go BCM-50 or BCM-400.
As far as your phones. Both the MICS and the BCM uses the same digital phones.
They would be the T7100, T7208, T7316e and the M-Series would also work.
