I upgraded a customer to 3.6 last week. All was going well until it got to "Initialization" the progress bar stayed at 77%. After five hours the progress bar did not move. I let the upgrade run overnight hoping it would be at a 100% by the morning; no such luck, still at 77%. We tried to access the phone system programming via IE but the IP could not be reached; I could ping the IP address just fine. Just out of chance I tried BCM monitor and it could connect to the BCM, it also showed the BCM was running on 3.6 2.2. I consoled into the system to change the time and rebooted the system but still could not access through the web. I tried to load a patch but it said the FTP server could not be started. I consoled back in and tried to manually start the FTP server but it failed to start. I'm all out of ideas, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You might want to try a Platform Initialization from the console port to try to restore service. No garuantee, but it won't hurt to try.

Is voicemail working?

Everything is working just fine (except for being able to get into programming).

This came out just a few days ago from Nortel, I will try it and let you know if it works.
