If i need to add another 6 port expantion card to a MICS system that is running 6.1 software will i need to change that software out for XC software and if so will it keeps its memory or will i have to reprogram?

I'm pretty sure that you don't need to upgrade the s/w. If I'm wrong, someone will chime in.
You shouldn't loose existing programing when you power down to install the card, but do a backup....just in case.

I was told at one time that the MICS 6.1 would handle the 6 port exp cart plus a 2 port exp., but haven't verified it and am having a tough time believing it. 10/4 on the backup. Thanks.
