I have been working on and installing Nortel and CallPilots for a little over 2 years now, and I feel I'm pretty good at doing most everything with them. One thing I'm not though is a user so sometimes obvious things that people do that actually own the systems and are on them everyday. Anyway, sorry for the digression.
I am in the process of selling a customer a new CICS (7.1) with a CID card and CallPilot 100, they would like to know if they can change their main greeting remotely, ie. from home, for inclement weather and the such. Is there a way to do this? Do I need to have a pre-recorded greeting on stand-by or can they record it remotely in the process without over-writing their main greeting. I am most like going to be setting them up with a CCR tree.
I think I covered all my basis. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately you can't access any of the programming menus from an outside phone.

The only way is to set up a VPN to the CP so that you can access the browser funtion and either change to another prerecorded greeting or upload a new greeting file.

From memory: Call into voicemail like you're checking your messages, log into mailbox 102, 99, then close the office and rerecord the non-business greeting.

I have a few golf courses that I have a weather information mailbox transfer point from the CCR tree that the customer dials in and remotely changes that mailbox when weather is bad.

Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol
