I show it as MICS 4.1

Yep..I upgraded a R1T1 first rev MICS last week to 7.1 with PRI. Has worked like a tractor since first installed. I'm still amazed at the 616s and 824s still chugging along.

Heck, I've still got clients with the 3x8's & 616's DR1 and they won't upgrade. They are not having any issues and don't want/need CLID or the Transfer function. Go figure.

A buddy of mine in the next territory is hesitant on offering maintenance agreements exactly for that reason....that's a main selling point for him...throw it on the wall and forget it.

I just got called out to a new customer today.
Said his caller ID quit working.
Says he called telco and they said, "it's not our problem, it's your phone system."

Go to the site, Find a 6x16. Also when I walked into the hall telco/janitor closet/furnace room, I hear a noise that sounds familiar. Kind of a scratching wherring screeching sound. Anyone want to guess??
Yuk the old StarTalk boat anchor.
Then I start thinking......Caller ID?? 6x16????
Look closer.
Yup. Find a C6 unit.

Now that system has been around awhile.

Oh yeah - the problem. The C6 is bad.

It's the Caller ID adapter that you have to attach to a 6x16 KSU to have Caller ID (with DR5 software). Same as a M-8, only it'll only work on a 6x16.

It looks exactly like the OLD style ATA units.
It has one screw connection for wires to a port on the system. Then an amphenol connection for the lines. It takes in the caller ID info off the line, then sends it to the one ringing phone for auto Caller ID. Other extensions have to use F811 to get CID.
