Hi folks.I added a co line to an old norstar yesterday. The system is the one that predates the cics.Ksu is flat, when progamming is accessed instead of terminals&sets it says general admin.
I did find trunk&line info where I assigned line pool&tone. My question is where do ringing assignments get programmed? When I added the line it rang all phones which luckily is what the customer wanted.I'm just wondering in case I run into one of these again. Thanks

You should be under Set Access.
It says
LINE ASSIGNMENT - Assign lines to the phone.
Then about 2 or 3 prompts later you will see: RINGING.
Then you go through the lines that you previously asigned and say YES or NO to have it ring.

Actually it's "Line Access", under "Configuration". You need to use the "Installer" password for access to this area, which we will not furnish. Contact a local vendor.

Your right MooreTel.
Bad memory from a real old system.
Sorry.

You're a Norstar vendor?

I think most vendors would know 3x8 from 6x16.

No,I'm not an "official" vendor-I just work on them.My backround is mostly executone and I didn't work on norstar until after the cics and mics were out.So I never saw alot of the old stuff. That plus the fact that I hadn't seen one in a long time is why the programming threw me.
Again,thanks for everyone's help.
