EQUIPMENT IS A MICS - 6.1 SOFTWARE WITH PRI. THEY WERE HIT WITH A SURGE OF POWER AND SYSTEM DEFAULTED. THIS IS A NEW CLIENT SO I HAVE NO HISTORY. I HAVE EVERYTHING BACK TO NORMAL EXCEPT THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE TO DIAL THE '9' BEFORE. I HAVE HOT-LINED THE 9 ON A BCM BUT NOT THE MICS WITH PRI. IT DOES NOT LIKE ANYTHING I DO. ANY SUGGESTIONS? I BEEN ALWAYS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT THIS WAS NOT POSSIBLE.

Last time I set up a PRI on an MICS I think I set off-hook preference to the PRI and no 9 was needed. Are they dialing the 9 to grab the outside line or for something on the PRI itself?
When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming and panicking like the passengers in his car.

THE PRIME LINE IS I/C. WHEN THEY PICK UP THE HANDSET OR HIT HANDSFREE TO DIAL OUT THEY DID NOT HAVE TO DIAL NINE.

You have to create Routing with Destination Code 9. Create Rout 1 and dial out 1+ any. Absorb 1.

yes I have that all in place. I had it set to absorb 1--didn't work, tried setting it to absorb all -- didn't work. Just backing up a bit. In Dest. Codes I have programmed 9 + any - should this be different. With that all said, I will need to change it back to absorb 1 because they cannot dial out now. I will have to go back in the am to change it, but I would really like to get this nine happening. Is there anything else in routing that I should set up.

In Dest Code: put 9, Rout number, Absorb 1. In Rout:dial rout #, Dial Out has to be 1 + any, Route # and PRI- A.

Thank-you I really appreciate all you help! one more thing, when I go into the Dest Code-- it would not allow me just to add the 9, I had to included 'Any' will this affect what you just told me.
